Bird's eye view of Bryanston House in Dorset; with formal gardens, fountain, boules green, stables and farm buildings; peacocks in one of the yards; a river running past house; fields surrounding. This house was demolished in 1778 and replaced by another, which was itself replaced in 1890 by the mansion by Richard Norman Shaw which now houses the major Public School. Reduced version of the large view engraved by Johannes Kip. Previously part of the collection of Hamburg-based book and print collector Robert Johannes Meyer (1882-1976), whose collection focused on northern European printmakers of the 16th-18th centuries.
