John Bull, to the left, sits in an arm chair raised above the table at which Counsel are seated, and facing Napoleon, to the right, who stands at the bar. The barrister nearest the prisoner has talons and a horned mask. There are ushers, spectators, a gaoler, and a distant gallery filled with ladies, above Gothic arches in the background. The broadside below describes, in detail, a fictional trial of Napoleon Bonaparte.
