A landscape with a woman lying asleep at the edge of a stream, her head on her basket, with one arm around her gourd and staff, which trails in the water. Two children are beside her, one reaching out with a stick to tickle her face. A woman stands next to them, with a basket, staff and a dog, pointing towards the town in the distance on the left, while a man driving cattle along the bank behind them turns to look at the travellers. After founding member of the Royal Academy, Francesco Zuccarelli (1702 - 1788).
