A dramatic scene depicting the Sabine women making peace by persuading their Roman husbands against killing their Sabine brothers and fathers by pleading and placing themselves between the two armies. After Peter Paul Rubens (1577 - 1640). The original painting is now held in the Alte Pinakothek in Munich.
