Sharpe writes that the portrait of the Prince and two women was published in the London Magazine in March 1747 and as the frontispiece to 'Ascanius' the same year; the portraits of the other Jacobites appeared in Fielding's 'Compleat and Authentick History of the... late Rebellion' and as the frontispiece to 'A Sketch of the Life and Character of Mr Radcliffe'. It seems that the plates were engraved by the same hand.
