Printed voting paper with signature and an autograph letter. Voting paper folded and mounted in album paper with 1/2d stamp etc..
An 1871 voting paper for the election of 'Five Widows' to the Royal Cambridge Asylum for soldiers' widows signed by Sophia Wellesley, entitling her to four votes; and a letter dated 'June 20th /81', reading 'Lady Charles Wellesley presents her compliments to Mr Warren, & has the pleasure of returning the enclosure which she has signed, and much hopes that it may lead to some alteration of the mode of election'. Sophia Pierrepont, daughter of the diplomat Henry Pierrepont, married Charles Wellesley, second son of the Duke of Wellington; her two sons that survived childhood both became dukes of Wellington.
