St Peter, standing to the left, is seen warming his hands at a fire, while a serving girl points to him, asking if Peter is not one of Christ's followers, opposite a young man in a plumed hat. A table with a group of soldiers, playing a game of dice in background. The original painting is now in the Pushkin Museum, Moscow. Lettered below the image in English and Russian with a dedication from the engraver to 'Catherine the Second Empress and Autocratrix of all the Russias'.
