A coastal scene at Clovelly, with two figures in a punt in the foreground at the left and sailing a boat behind. Figures and boats are along the coast in front of a wall, with houses along the street at a higher level, and on the steep hillside to the right. From William Daniell's 'A Voyage Round Great Britain', a series of 308 aquatints published in eight volumes between 1814-1825, described by R.V. Tooley as 'the most important colour plate book on British Topography'.
