Wounded soldiers lie in the foreground with fighting occurring over the entire field behind and into the distance. A French army under the command of Napoleon was defeated by the armies of the Seventh Coalition, comprising an Anglo-allied army under the command of the Duke of Wellington combined with a Prussian army under the command of Gebhard von Blücher. Lettered below image with coat of arms encircled by a garland and a dedication to the Prince Regent from the publishers.
