A view of a standing stone near the coast, and a man with a walking stick standing nearby at right. Another figure can be seen cutting peat with a spade from a peat bank to the left, as a woman arranges the cut blocks. From William Daniell's 'A Voyage Round Great Britain', a series of 308 aquatints published in eight volumes between 1814-1825, described by R.V. Tooley as 'the most important colour plate book on British Topography'.
