The Battle of Arcis-sur-Aube (20–21 March 1814) was fought between the French and Austrian armies as Napoleon attempted to stop the Allied advance on Paris. Outnumbered, the French withdrew before their opponents realised how small his forces were. Napoleon fought only one more battle before his abdication and exile to Elba. Published in A.V.
