Almost half-length to the left, wearing a small ruff, dark coat, waistcoat and double chain across his chest; with a town in the background and a castle to the left. One of twelve woodcuts from the series 'Some Woodcuts of Men of Letters', by British sculptor and printmaker Robert Bryden (1865 - 1939). Lettered in the image with the title and the printmaker's monogram and date: 'RB 1898.'
