A writing sheet illustrated with seven view of the Royal Navy and her ships. Robert Harrild (1780-1853) revolutionised the printing industry by introducing rollers to ink letterpress, replacing the ink halls used since the time of Caxton, thus speeding up newspaper production. He manufactured rollers for printing machines for many of the Fleet Street newspaper offices. He operated from Great Eastcheap from 1819 to 1824.
