View showing the ruins of the Temple of Edfu on the west bank of the Nile. Edfu is one of the best preserved temples in Egypt, built during the Ptolomaic period of 327-57BC it was dedicated to the falcon god Horus. Figures are depicted sitting on, and climbing over, the huge fragments of architecture.
