The opening of the first Waterloo Bridge, designed by John Rennie. Lady Julia Gordon (1775–1867, neé Julia Isabella Levina Bennet) was a pupil of both J.M.W. Turner and Thomas Girtin. Her husband, General Sir James Willoughby Gordon, was Quartermaster General during the Peninsular Wars.
