Robert Wilks (c.1665-1732), actor and theatre manager. Wilks' longest association was with the Drury Lane, where he was a joint manager with Thomas Doggett (later replaced by Barton Booth) and Colley Cibber. In 1729 their theatre received a valuable patent permitting them to present new plays. Wilks stayed at Drury Lane from 1711 until his death in 1732.
