Sir William Musgrave (1735-1800), customs official, collector of portrait prints, amateur etcher, and Trustee of the British Museum, to which he bequeathed a large part of his library. He holds a mezzotint portrait of James Grainger and his right arm rests in a portfolio of prints. The original oil attributed to L. F. Abbott is in the British Library. A later state of the print ages him twenty years.
