The gaming room at Brooks's, a gentlemen's club founded in 1764, with a barrel-vault ceiling designed by John Adam. Notable members of the club include David Garrick, Herbert Walpole, Joshua Reynolds, William Pitt the Younger, William Wilberforce, George IV and William IV. Published in Ackermann's famous work, the 'Microcosm of London', the figures were drawn by the famous caricaturist Thomas Rowlandson and the architecture by Augustus Pugin.
