The interior view of a life drawing class at Somerset House, London. A nude male poses to the left, as the class, arranged in two tiers around the edge of the room, draw the figure. Various busts and statues can be seen on shelves above the artists. Published in Ackermann's famous work, the 'Microcosm of London', the figures were drawn by the famous caricaturist Thomas Rowlandson and the architecture by Augustus Pugin.
