Portrait study by Thomas Worlidge Senior (1700 - 1766), 'the English Rembrandt' and a pupil of Alessandro Maria Grimaldi, whose daughter Arabella he married. Posthumous impression after Worlidge's widow Mary issued new impressions in 1767 with the number '99' & '2' added top right to correspond with the catalogue of his prints she produced (in her catalogue this print is listed as 'head after Rembrandt').
