Etching, platemark 100 x 80mm (4 x 3¼"). Trimmed inside platemark; glued to backing sheet with glue stains at corners. Slight loss top right.
By Thomas Worlidge (1700-66), 'the English Rembrandt' and a pupil of Alessandro Maria Grimaldi, whose daughter Arabella he married. Posthumous impression with number '42' added in top right by Worlidge's widow to correspond with number in her 1767 catalogue of his prints.
