By Thomas Worlidge (1700-66), 'the English Rembrandt' and a pupil of Alessandro Maria Grimaldi, whose daughter Arabella he married. Lifetime impression before Worlidge's widow issued new impressions in 1767 with number '42' added top right to correspond with the catalogue of his prints she produced.
