An interior scene in which a man in military attire, sits, gazing into the eyes of a female figure who covers his head with a white cloth. His sword and hat have been placed beneath a table to the right, and a basket of fruit can be seen on the floor on the left. Behind, an open window reveals a landscape of trees and hills in the distance. Goupil's blind stamp, bottom centre. Title in French, English and German below. Published in London and Paris.
