Scene looking along Venice's Grand Canal with the Rialto market buildings on the right, and on the left the Autoria di Bacino, Palazzo Michel, and in the distance the Palazzo Civran. In the 18th century paintings by Canaletto, Bellotto and other Venetian painters were often copied in reduced form by British printsellers such as Carington Bowles. Early 19th century restrike of a print first sold in the mid 18th century.
