A view across St James's Park towards Westminster Cathedral. Figures walk amongst the trees and stand by the pond. Rosamond's Pond was one of several ponds in St James's park used to attract ducks which were shot for the royal table. The pond was located near to where Buckingham Palace stands today, Rosamond's Pond disappeared during alterations to St James's Park which took place in the 18th Century.
