Portrait in profile of George Simon Harcourt, 2nd Earl of Harcourt (1736-1809). Harcourt was an amateur painter and printmaker who was taught by Alexander Cozens and Paul Sandby. He was known as Viscount Nuneham before succeeding his father as Earl Harcourt; for that reason many of his prints are signed 'Nuneham' or 'Newnham'.
