Mary ('Moll') King, 1696-1747, businesswoman, pouring liquor into a glass. With her husband Thomas she bought a house in Covent Garden market where she sold coffee, tea and chocolate. For over twenty years King's was the most notorious and successful meeting place in Covent Garden. It is depicted in Hogarth's print 'Morning', where a fight is clearly taking place inside.
