Fine hand-coloured etching with large margins. Plate 349 x 247mm (13¾ x 4¾").
Caricature of Wellington, with a long, curving inscription issuing from his mouth and listing his many roles and achievements: 'Cabinet maker / Undertaker / Finance / Beat France [...]'. The reference is to Caleb Quotem, a character in Colman's play 'The Review, or the Wags of Windsor'. One of a set of 'Parish Characters', all with an imitation of William Heath's signature and seemingly ante-dated to conceal piracy.
