The Present State of England.
Very rare engraving. Plate 133 x 76mm (5¼ x 3"). Trimmed.
Frontispiece to Edward Chamberlayne, 'Angliae Notitia; or the Present State of England'; Charles II enthroned, holding orb and sceptre; standing next to him, Gilbert Sheldon, the Archbishop of Canterbury, and Sir Orlando Bridgeman, the Lord Keeper. According to Lowndes and Granger, the print depicts the Earl of Shaftesbury rather than Orlando Bridgeman.
