View of the interior of the Wren church of St Clement Danes with a gallery running around the wall at the level of the triforium, looking towards the rounded apse, with figures including a cleric talking to two women in the middle-ground to left. In the 18th century Samuel Johnson was a regular member of the congregation. From "A Collection of One Hundred Views In England and Wales". John Boydell's 'Collection of Views' was made after he turned from engraver to print publisher in 1767. The first collection was issued in 1770, and included some plates by printmakers other than himself.
