View on the Thames; stately homes line opposite bank of the river; people fishing or walking along riverside path in right foreground, behind them farmers stack hay; a barge, and smaller boats in river. From "A Collection of One Hundred Views In England and Wales", published by Boydell after he turned from engraver to print publisher in 1767. The first collection was issued in 1770, and included some plates by printmakers other than himself.
