Portrait standing whole-length to front with his right hand on his hip, head turned to face l, wearing robes of the Garter and with his hair powdered, holding plumed hat in his right hand; pillars, curtain and tree behind. George Spencer, 4th Duke of Marlborough (1739-1817), the British courtier and politician. He served as Lord Chamberlain between 1762 and 1763 and as Lord Privy Seal between 1763 and 1765.
