A pair of coloured mezzotints, very fine colour & rare. Plate size: 610 x 490mm, 24 x 19¼" each. Few marks and minor stains. Unexamined out of frames.
Morning. A young man wearing a fur hat and carrying oars over his shoulder, gesturing towards a boat drawn up on the seashore to the left while looking back at a baby held in its mother's arms at the doorway to a thatched building; two boys carry nets and a basket on poles ahead of their father, and a little girl stands holding onto her mother's skirts. / Evening. Interior of a cottage where a young man wearing a fur hat is displaying his catch to his wife, who sits on the left with a sleeping baby on her knee and knitting on the stool beside her; a little girl and two boys bend over the basket at the man's feet, one boy showing a large crab, while the man holds up a large fish, and a kitten menaces a lobster.
