From Thomas Salmon's "The Universal Traveller: or, A Compleat Description Of the several Nations of the World...", Vol.II, in which Salmon describes his travels in West Africa, particularly the Guinea coast, which was also called 'Calabar' in the 1700s. He described the African way of living, from their clothing styles and houses to the slave trade.
