Portrait of Tsar Ivan V (1666 - 1696); wearing barmas, the Monomakh's cap and a large cross pendant on a golden chain; in an oval set inside a square frame. After Henri Benner (1776 - 1836), miniature painter from Alsace. From 1805 he worked in Paris with Isabey and went to St Petersburg 1817-1825. For a series of 24 portraits of Russian tsars and their families.
