Hand coloured aquatint, marked 'Proof'. Sheet 305 x 420mm, 12¼ x 16½". Trimmed within plate, stitch holes in left edge. Slightly foxed; colour faded.
A column of redcoats marching towards the breach in the wooden stockade. Lieutenant Joseph Moore's 'Views taken at or near Rangoon' illustrated the British campaign during the First Anglo-Burmese War (1824-26), the first of three such wars in the 19th century.
