Warick Windridge Armstrong (1879-1947), the Australian cricketer who played 50 Test matches between 1902 and 1921. An all-rounder, he captained Australia in ten Test matches between 1920 and 1921 and was undefeated, winning eith Tests and drawing two. Albert Chevalier Taylor (1862-1925), the English artist who specialised in portrait and genre painting.
