The interior of York Minster, where the third musical festival was held for the benefit of the York County Hospital, and of the General Infirmaries of Leeds, Hull, and Sheffield. Matthew Cambidge (1764-1844) succeeded his father as organist of York Minster and played an active part in the musical life of York. He organized huge music festivals given at York in 1823, 1825, and later.
