Pen and ink with sepia watercolour wash; presented with an etching of the front elevation signed 'I.W.'. The two tipped into the same folio album leaf, sheet 485 x 330mm, 18¾ x 13". Some age-toning and surface abrasion to the drawing.
Unique study by Thomas Hosmer Shepherd (1793 - 1864) for a London platebook. Designed by William Wilkins (1778 – 1839), the building is now The Lanesborough hotel.
