A preacher stands in profile to the right ranting over a lectern on which lies an open book, to which he points. He stands on tiptoe, shouting "You'll all go to the Devil!!" He wears old-fashioned dress with clerical bands. By Isaac Criukshank after George Moutard Woodward (c.1760 - 1809), plate 58 for Woodward's 'Eccentric excursions: or, literary & pictorial sketches of countenance, character & country, in different parts of England & South Wales. ... Embellished with upwards of one hundred characteristic & illustrative prints'. Plate and page number at top. Scarce in this format, the caricature issued as a handbill by the publishers of the book for publicity purposes. There is an extended quotation from the sermon at the bottom.
