Portrait of Edward Sparke, half length in an oval frame on a pedestal, wearing skull-cap, bands and gown; arms in upper spandrils. Frontispiece to his 'Scintilla Altaris' (1666 edition). Edward Sparke (d.1692) was an English clergyman and devotional writer. He served as minister of St James's Clerkenwell until in 1666 he was instituted to the vicarage of Tottenham. he was also vicar of Walthamstow and Chaplain to Charles II.
