Double portrait, a little boy with a lace collar, looking towards the viewer and holding his hands out to the right, the one laid on top of the other, to receive a dove which his sister holds, standing next to him and looking towards him. William Kerr, 6th Marquess of Lothian (1764-1824), son of the Earl of Ancrum, portrayed here with his sister Lady Robert-Evelyn-Pierrepoint Dormer (1765-1822).
