James Drake (c.1666-1707) was a political and medical writer. He was a renowned physician, anatomist and writer whose name was recognised throughout London. He was highly involved in politics and was a well-known pamphleteer. He became a fellow of the Royal Society and the College of Physicians, and authored one of the most deserved popular medical treatises of his time, Anthropologia Nova, which remained a valuable resource to physicians and anatomists alike for decades.
