Portrait of Queen Anne as princess, standing, wearing pearl earrings and a loose ermine-lined dress; pedestal on the left with a vase of flowers, and a dog at its base; curtain and column in the background with buildings seen in the distance through a window. Queen Anne (1665-1714) was the daughter of James II and Anne Hyde, and in 1683 she married George Prince of Denmark. In 1702 she succeeded William III as her eldest sister Mary II died in 1694.
