[A Paris Chez Israel, rue de l'Arbre sec, au logis Monsieur le Mercier, 1647]
Etching, 85 x 137mm (3? x 5?"). Glued to backing sheet.
As noted by de Vesme, this may be a view taken from Amsterdam rather than a view of the city itself, as the only topographical features visible are a handful of towers rising above the forest of ships' masts. Two large ships and several workers in the foreground. From a series of eight etchings of sea ports by Stefano Della Bella (1610-64).
