Teresa Brambilla (1813-1895) was an Italian soprano. She performed all over Europe, and particularly in Paris and St Petersburg. Verdi took a shine to her elegance and vocal abilities and used her as the first performer of the role of Gilda in Rigoletto at the Teatro La Fenice in 1851. She was part of the family of singers including Marietta Brambilla and Teresina Brambilla.
