An atmospheric scene at low tide, with sailing barges beached in the foreground to left. Claude Hamilton Rowbotham (1864 - 1949) was a watercolour painter of landscapes and coastal scenes, both in England and on the Continent. He was related to the Rowbotham family of painters who originated in Bristol area. He used characteristically bright colours.
