Aubrey Beardsley (1872-1898) was an English illustrator and author. His drawings were heavily influenced by the style of the Japanese woodcuts, and thus his own work emphasized the grotesque, the decadent, and the erotic. This catalogue was compiled for the exhibition held at the Victoria & Albert Museum, London. With explanatory and biographical text, Reade has included fifty illustrations.
