Karl von Mansfeld (1543-95), a German general during the Cologne War and the Ottoman-Habsburg wars. The son of Count Peter Ernst I von Mansfeld-Vorderort, von Mansfeld was born in present day Luxembourg, educated in France and joined the army of Philip II of Spain, becoming a general and an admiral in the navy of the Spanish Netherlands. He was sent to Hungary, where he participated in the siege of Esztergom in 1595 during the Long War, dying shortly afterwards. Giovianni Orlandi was an engraver, printer and print publisher from Bologna. Active in Rome from c.1590 until 1613 and then in Naples.
