A 'Jardin Anglais' (English garden) is a type of landscape garden which emerged from England in the early 18th century. Numbered 'No.34' lower right; for the 'Isle de France' part of the grand series of French views 'Voyage pittoresque de la France', a 1781-96 collaboration of several artists and engravers (12 vols).
